NBP rewards its World Cup heroes
KARACHI: National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) on Friday rewarded its employed players who were a part of World T20 Championship winning squad here at its head office. President NBP Syed Ali Reza gave one million rupees each to wicketkeeper-atsman Kamran Akmal and pacer Mohammad Aamer. While, opener Salman Butt and Fawad Alam bagged Rs500,000 each. “The T20 World Cup win is more significant than Pakistan’s win at the ’91 World Cup, considering the circumstances in the country today,” Ali Reza said at the occasion. “Our team’s victory is a unique gift to the nation, whose spirits have been boosted. I hope this victory will inspire the youth of our country to take special interest in sports and further spur this industry on to further heights.” Ali Reza also announced the confirmation of a hundred players who represent NBP in various sports.
